California I’m coming home…

July 29th, 2011

For just over a year I’ve been living in Long Beach, California.  An exodus from New York City in one of the worst blizzards of all time, and a cross-country adventure brought me here to the land of sunshine and palm trees.  One year feels like a lifetime with the amazing friends I’ve made, and the experiences I’ve had.  I wouldn’t trade my 5 years in NY for anything, but it’s exciting to be doing something different.

Aside from the evil traffic, it’s pretty much pleasant here every single day.  My chronic lateness fits in with everyone else running on “California time”, and I live across the street from the ocean.  Long Beach is a mishmash of oddballs and artists. A really supportive, active community. “Big city, small town” is the motto.  With two puppies, and a little time off from working I may or may not have been a little sleepy with my creativity, but I feel it bubbling up and getting ready for big things.  This new website is the beginning.
